This stuff works the best for my gerd/heartburn symptoms. It took awhile to get over the grit factor, but I devised a way to drink it with excellent results. I gave this 5 stars simply because it works so well (pricing and shipping excellent too!). I looked high and low at the local health food store, food chain health food store, supplement shop but found nothing comprable. It also touts being specially formlated as non stone forming, a great feature for a calcium supplement. This is it for me. Forget antiacids. I also use this for my calcium and magnesium supplement, serving three purposes. I use one scoop to 4 ounces of water, and 4 ounces of carrot juice, stirring constantly drinking quickly. Any variety of juice would work. Be careful not to take to much because it may cause diarrhea, as is true for all magnesium supplements . On the other hand, it works great for chronically constipated people (how I used to be).Now lets look at reality, I could save myself more money if I simply quit my acidifying ways...right? Stop the coffee, eat less fat, spice, tomato, citrus and other triggers...The truth is after going gluten, corn and dairy free is when my diet became higher in fat, and I became more resentful over giving up more of my favorite foods, but otherwise feeling the best I've ever felt.This a also a great product to have on hand when one has over indulged on a rich meal. Good for a satisfying belch afterwards!
