As one gets older - it's more difficult to fall asleep naturally, like we did as a child. We worry about stuff. As a child, most of us had no worries. They say that 60% of the US population has trouble sleeping.I've been taking Kava Kava for about two years. Never mind that BS that it ruins your kidneys or whatever. I just got my blood work back from the doctor on Friday & my blood is perfect for a 21-year old. (I'm 61.) So is my blood pressure & all other systems.So, get that out of your head that this is dangerous stuff. Take it in a little bit of water about fifteen minutes before bed. It tastes absolutely HORRIBLE. Deal with it. You're a grown-up now. Don't do anything stupid & go driving somewhere after taking it! Don't take this if you're an On-call Emergency Worker of some sort.It really makes you sleepy & will help you drift off - with no bad dreams & no grogginess in the morning. I'd say that you'd need at least four hours to recover from it's effects.
