This is a great razor it feels firm heavy in weight, which says reliablity. It's also a beatiful razor and brush I like the black color the only thing I need now is a bowl to complete my purchase. The cost for this set is also very good I have been looking at a rozor set since I purchased my first safety razor, if you purchase this set you will not be disappointed it is woth every penny.

The Stand I received with my set is not the one pictured, but based on previous reviews, I guess that is not a bad thing as the stand I received was fairly solid and not wobbly as mentioned by others.The Badger Brush is good quality, not much else can be said. It hasn't so far dropped many bristles as my old one did, so I am satisfied with it.The razor is well weighted and balanced. But there is little to nothing you can do with adjustments to the tension of the blade, and I am not crazy about how the head comes apart to put the new blade it. It is a bit awkward. But once together the shave was good and the razor felt good and comfortable in my hand.I guess for the price I just expected a better design for changing the blade out, but since that is an only occasional task, that is really nit picking, but for the same money if I had to do it over, I might have chosen the Parker 82R which has the butterfly style head for easier changing of the blade.

All of the equipment in this set is high quality stuff for a reasonable price. Great for beginners like me. You do get all the essentials (razor, blades, stand, brush), though I wish it came with a bowl. Just get that bowl or mug, a good quality cream, nice aftershave, and a styptic pencil (you will make a few mistakes after all), and you'll be all ready for a lifetime of great shaves. I look forward to teaching my son the lost art of wet shaving.
